Daleside Begins

So I’ve started my next big project, a full re-render of this grade II listed building, with a hot lime mix.

This week has consisted of the removal of the old render. The 100 year old lime practically falls off while there are quite a few, more stubborn, patches of cement repairs that have been done over the years.

Good progress has been made, approximately 1.5 elevations left to remove, and joints to rake out ready for the dubbing out coat.

The views up here are something else, more updates as this one progresses.

The new year began with quite a few smaller projects, including this new office plastered for https://igneousgin.co.uk/ an amazing gin company set up by my school friend Miles and his wife Katie.

And also a few bits finished at Clifford, including plastering around this beautiful arch window. Here’s a before and after.

Looking forward to the next few weeks at Daleside along with some smaller jobs to fit in on rainy days.

Have a nice weekend.
